2012 Shelby GT350 Convertible

KBB reviews the 2012 Shelby GT350 Convertible and comes away impressed!!

While General Motors and Chrysler have both stepped up their full-size truck efforts in serious ways over the past few years, it's easy to see why Ford still holds the sales title. The F-150 is comfortable and tame enough to handle city traffic and mall parking lots with the family, and at the same time, it's also supremely capable of lugging a load of material back from the local co-op. It toes a fine line between civility and functionality and does it in an attractive, masculine package. All hail the king.

CARS 2 Brent Mustangburger - Click above for high-res image gallery

CARS 2 was already on our must-see list (for the kids, of course) even before we talked to director John Lasseter, and after that interview, we added a star next to the already-circled June 24 release date. But since we've still got a ways to go before the movie hits the big screen, we'll have to take any information we can gather.

The latest character to be revealed is Brent Mustangburger, who is obviously voiced by sportscasting legend Brent Musburger. The excitable broadcaster will trade in his trademark glasses and blazer for a 1964.5 Ford Mustang body. The golden voice will remain unchanged, though, as the super broadcaster calls the fictional World Grand Prix during the movie.

Hit the jump for a 360 degree video that show just how good Mustangburger looks in Ford blue, and scroll through our image gallery to see the full slate of CARS 2 characters.

2011 Ford F-150 XLT SuperCrew 4x4 5.0L V8

Car & Driver takes the 2011 Ford F-150 XLT SuperCrew 4x4 5.0L V8 out for a spin and walks away impressed.
If you're still kicking yourself for not forking over the cash necessary to take home the very first 2012 Ford Mustang Boss 302 ever created, it's your lucky day. That very vehicle has shown up on eBay motors, and if you've got the means, you've got a second chance at calling this particular car your own. Why is the seller sending this piece of history on its way? Simple: the guy says he bought a Boss 302, not a museum piece.

He didn't know that his car was the very first production model until all of the appropriate lines were dotted. He says that he has neither the interest nor the space for some low-mile queen, and that instead, he wants a Boss 302 to use as his daily driver and a regular track rat. The bidding has risen to $65,100 as of the time of writing with reserve not met. Head over to eBay Motors to have a look-see.

Couture v. 2011 Ford Explorer

MMA icon Randy Couture, three time Heavyweight champ, takes on the all-new 2011 Ford Explorer.

The EcoBoost has so far represented 35 percent of F-150 sales in April, and Ford notes that incoming orders are tracking even higher at 40 percent.

Although the 3.5-liter V-6 is unusually small-displacement for the full-size truck segment, its output of 365 horsepower and 420 pound-feet of torque matches or surpasses most of its rivalsā?? top V-8 engine offerings. At the same time, the EcoBoost nearly matches the fuel economy of the 302-horsepower normally-aspirated 3.7 liter base V-6, which itself is representing a surprising chunk of 2011 F-150 sales.

Why Ford is making a real profit again.

Despite the still sluggish economy that has left many car buyers on the sidelines, Ford beat expectations by posting profit of 61 cents a share, well above the Wall Street forecast of 50 cents. Revenue at the company climbed 18% to $33.1 billion.
The Ford Edge and twin LINCOLN MKX, both 2011 midsize SUVs, improve from acceptable to good for roof strength in rollover crashes and earn the Institute's TOP SAFETY PICK award. The award recognizes vehicles that earn the top rating of good for front, side, rollover, and rear crash protection, and that have electronic stability control (ESC).
