Just a few years ago, many vehicles large and small came with V8 options under their hoods. Today, the V6 is king - and if you want V8 like power you'll probably end up with an turbocharged engine.
Ford's new EcoBoost 3.5-liter V6, which has been engineered for light-duty trucks, delivers 365 horsepower and 420-pounds feet of torque. That's as high as any V-8.
Where can you find such a powerful engine? It will be offered in the 2011 F-150 pickup next year, according to a Ford announcement Monday.
