Built Ford Tough

For many years, Ford has been the leading name in the pickup truck market and its flagship vehicle is undoubtedly the mighty Ford F-150.

Built with military-grade, heat-hardened aluminum-alloy, the F-150 is the most rugged truck out there. No matter what manner of stress you put it through, the Ford F-150 excels at everything a pickup is designed for, especially moving heavy payloads and towing trailers.

Computer-Assisted Towing

You won’t find more features focused on improving the safety of towing a heavy load in any other truck. The Ford F-150 comes with Pro Trailer Backup Assist to help make backing up a trailer easy. All you have to do is turn the wheel in the direction you want the trailer to go and the Pro Trailer Backup Assist will do it for you.

That isn’t all the F-150 offers in terms of simplifying towing, it also comes with a Blind Spot Identification System (BLIS) with trailer coverage to help make tasks like changing lanes easier. The F-150 BLIS system will alert you when a vehicle is spotted in the truck’s blind spot or next to the trailer.

Six Available Engines with Power Stroke Turbo Diesel

The right combination of size and power is important, that’s why the Ford F-150 offers six different engines you can choose from. Whether you most need gas mileage or power, the F-150 has you covered. It offers a naturally-aspirated V6, a V8 gas powerplant with twin-independent variable cam timing, a turbocharged gas EcoBoost V6, and the biggest of them all, a Power Stroke Turbo Diesel V6.

The turbocharged EcoBoost engine also has a Ford Port-Fuel and Direct-Injection (PFDI) system with two injectors per cylinder, a dual overhead cam design, and variable intake/exhaust cam timing. What more could you ask for?

The Trail Ready Raptor

The Ford F-150 Raptor is built to handle even the roughest terrain thanks to its Fox Live Valve monotube shocks with internal bypass technology and an electronically controlled solenoid valve. This gives the F-150 the ability to adjust the compression dampening automatically depending on the terrain.

To get the truck up steep inclines and pull heavy loads, the high-output EcoBoost engine creates 450 horsepower and 510 pounds per foot of torque.

That isn’t all. The 2019 Ford F-150 Raptor also has a new trail control Terrain Management System for using cruise control on off-road terrain. You can set the speed between one and 20 mph. Now that’s convenient. If you want to resume control, simply press the gas or brake.

Style Put to Work

The Ford F-150 is as beautiful as a truck can be and it can come with a black mesh grille, 20-inch machined aluminum wheels with magnetic-painted pockets, and six available interior upgrades. These upgrades include sport interior accents and SYNC 3 with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

The F-150 also comes in a wide range of colors from blue to red, white, black, brown, and gray. There is also a chrome appearance package with a two-bar grille with black nostrils and black surround, black mirror caps, chrome bumpers, and halogen fog lamps to light the way in low visibility.

Must-Have Features

There are dozens of features unique to the F-150 that are rarely found in other trucks in its class. The 2019 Ford F-150 features include SYNC 3, driver and front passenger manual lumbar, privacy glass, a body-color front fascia, unique black sport cloth seats with flow-through center console, and a steering column-mounted shifter.

That isn’t all. Adaptive cruise control doesn’t just let you set a speed, it lets you set a specific distance from the vehicle ahead. It will even resume from a complete stop when at a light or in bumper to bumper traffic.

Peace of Mind with Automatic Emergency Braking

Ford spared no expense when designing the F-150 for safety. The military-grade, heat-hardened aluminum-alloy isn’t the only thing that will give you peace of mind. The F-150 also boasts automatic emergency braking that is capable of detecting a potential collision and giving you visual and audible alerts.

The brakes will pre-charge to ensure you have full responsiveness when braking, but even if you don’t notice a potential collision, the brakes will apply themselves automatically. Talk about safety.

Unmatched Towing Power

The Ford F-150 is loaded with features such as Hill Descent Control for navigating tricky hills without issue. Hill Descent Control helps the driver maintain a set speed when going downhill with a heavy load. It applies the brake when necessary.

To make sure that the transmission is strong, Ford uses upper block cylinders made of high-strength compacted graphite iron. It also features wide-span gear spacing, with drag-reduction actions, and three overdrive gears. Simply choose from the five available modes including normal, snow-wet, tow-haul, Sport and EcoSelect to get where you’re going with the greatest of ease.

Get to Your Destination Safely

Even if you’re towing a payload over a long distance and you get tired, the F-150’s lane-keeping system will alert you if you start to drift out of your lane. The F-150 will scan the lines in the road and alert you if you get too close to the edge of your lane. It also has a rearview camera so you can keep your eyes up front while checking out what’s behind you.

The F-150 also has an available navigation system that doesn’t just keep you on course, it can help make suggestions for places to refuel, rest, or eat. These great features are what make the F-150 the leading truck in its class, and it just keeps getting better.
