2019 Ford F-150 in KC

The Ford F-150 continues as the best-selling truck in America, and the 2019 model makes no compromises to keep it at the top. There have been some changes along the way, but it is still the best full-size truck you will find for sale today.

You’ll find the indomitable 2019 Ford F-150 for sale in Leavenworth at Zeck Ford.

Styling

The F-150 is known for being a practical truck all across the board, but if you get the Lariat model and up you will also be getting a truck that has a huge dash and console with large touchscreens, LCD screens for gauges, and there are sumptuous leather and gorgeous wood found throughout the interior. The King Ranch will remind you more of the Wild West with its western theme. All the other models, including the XLT, scream efficiency with their neat workspaces.

Performance

The 2019 Ford F-150 comes with any combination engine and drivetrain you need to get the job done. There are V6 and V8 engines, six- and ten-speed automatics, and either rear or four-wheel drive from which to choose. This allows you to mix and match so that you get the performance you need out of your F-150 to tow or haul whatever you need to.

Last year, the F-150 had a 3.3-liter V6 engine added to its engine options and this gives you 290 horsepower and 265 pounds per feet of torque. It is the only six-speed automatic in the Ford family but it has direct injection and gives you fantastic fuel economy. It will also give you a quiet ride and works well with the six-speed automatic.

Most people who come into our Ford dealership in Leavenworth will end up leaving with the 2.7-liter turbocharged V6 that will give them 325 horsepower and 400 pounds per foot of torque. This is usually in combination with a 10-speed automatic. This Turbo V6 engine is available on the XLT and the Lariat trims and is a strong engine that will give the owner the ability to pull up to 8,500 pounds and put up to 2,500 pounds in the bed.

If you still prefer the rumble of the V8 engine then you can choose the 5.0-liter. This V8 will give you 395 horsepower and 400 pounds per foot of torque and will be paired with a 10-speed automatic ensuring that you will save on gas.

Even though the V8 is a classic, we think the 3.5-liter, twin-turbo V6 engine outclasses it. The V6 will give you 375 horsepower and 470 pounds per foot of torque in most of the versions. The Limited and the Ford F-150 Raptor actually have 450 horsepower and 510 pounds per foot of torque with this engine. The V6 allows you to tow up to 12,000 pounds because of its staged turbochargers. It has great shifting programmed into the 10-speed and so long as you don’t peel out of every intersection you will get good fuel economy.

The Power Stroke Turbo Diesel became available to owners in the late 2018 model year and can be purchased in a 2019 F-150.

F-150 Ride and Handling

The body of the F-150 has aluminum panels paired with a steel frame and because of this, it is light and strong. It will still handle all the things a heavy-duty truck should and that is a compliment to the exterior and materials it is made of. The suspension sets you up to have an even and smooth ride at low and mid speeds.

If you decide to go on a rougher route then the F-150 can roll with the punches and give you a ride that you would expect from a Ford truck. The electric steering has been programmed to anticipate so that it can counter the crosswinds when you are towing a trailer behind you.

Comfort and Quality

There is a variety of cabs to choose from with the Ford F-150. You can get a two-door Regular Cab, a SuperCab that includes rear-hinged doors and a short rear seat, or the SuperCrew that has four doors (and is also the bestselling cab.)

The Regular Cab usually comes with the XL or XLT trims and is definitely a work truck. The cabin includes a front bench or can have a set of bucket seats that are separated by a large console. It is a very utilitarian cab and generally comes with the basics but still gives you plenty of room.

The SuperCab will give you rear-hinged doors so that you can get to the back seat, which is for two smaller passengers. You will get more use out of the back seat if it is folded down and used almost like a workbench or you can fold it up so that you have more room to store things.

The SuperCrew is popular. It includes four, front-hinged, full-sized doors and has the capacity to hold up to five people comfortably. If you get the King Ranch or Limited models then you will have a multi-contour adjustment for your seats as well as heating, cooling, and other features that will add to your comfort. There is a ton of space in the rear seats and they even recline back for you. If you need more space, you can fold the rear seats up and there are under-the-seat cargo cubbies so that you can hide some of your more expensive tools and even the front-center console is large enough to hide tools or even a laptop.

Some of the features you will find inside the cab include a ton of cupholders, USB ports, and a standard 110-volt outlet that can be helpful in recharging your tools. The center console has knobs and buttons that are easy to use and most key work functions can be found in hard controls that are located outside of the big-screen infotainment system.

The F-150 will give you a quiet ride and you even get noise cancellation pipes in the turbo-six models so that you can silence some of the noise from the engine. The finishes on the trucks range from the vinyl and plastic to baseball-glove leather in the King Ranch.
